Today’s Chart of the Day offers a glimpse into how lifestyle behaviors vary between Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers – looking specifically at behaviors linked to health.

It’s almost 4 in 5 Millennials who say they exercise at least once a week – a bigger proportion than the number seen for Gen X and Boomers – with India (85%), Mexico (83%) and China (81%) the top 3 markets for these health-conscious Millennials. And it’s in North America where these differences between generations are the most pronounced, with Millennials leading the oldest generation by 15 percentage-points.

Alongside this, Millennials are less likely to say they regularly drink alcohol than their older counterparts, a pattern that exists across all regions – the most dramatic difference between generations occurring in Ireland, where Boomers are above Millennials by 24 percentage-points.
