For our last Chart of the Day this week, we focus on the battle between PC/laptops and smartphones for the attention of music streamers.

As might be expected, younger users are the most enthusiastic mobile music streamers; 1 in 2 within the 16-24 age group have done this in the past month. And while PC/laptops may be ahead, the numbers for these devices versus mobiles are fairly close.

This is a pattern which is repeated across all other age groups too. So, as mobiles continue to grab a bigger share of time spent online per day, we can expect to see an ever stronger migration to smartphones, especially as music-streaming providers offer more convenient ways to access their services on mobile without draining data allowances.
